FG, via NCDMB, Opens Application for 10,000 Young Nigerians in Oil and Gas Field Readiness Programme
Nigeria’s oil and gas industry is entering a new growth phase driven by major investments, renewed government policies, and deliberate human capacity development. To strengthen local participation, the Federal Government, through the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), has opened applications for the Oil and Gas Field Readiness Programme — an initiative aimed at training 10,000 young Nigerians with the skills needed to thrive in the nation’s expanding energy sector.
This programme comes amid a wave of billion-dollar projects such as the $2 billion HI Field Gas Project by SNEPCo and Sunlink Energies, the $550 million UBETA Gas Project by TotalEnergies, and the $5 billion Bonga North Deepwater Project. These investments, supported by Presidential Directives from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, are unlocking opportunities that demand a skilled Nigerian workforce.
