B. Non-Teaching Staff Positions - Director of Health Services: Requires MBBS plus 15 years post-registration experience, with visionary leadership and integrity. - Medical Officer: MBBS plus one year NYSC or exemption certificate. - Pharmacy Intern: B.Sc (Pharm) with full registration and one year NYSC or exemption certificate. - Medical Laboratory Scientist: Good first degree in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) plus registration with the Institute of Medical Laboratory Technology of Nigeria (IMLTN) and one year NYSC or exemption certificate. - Medical Records Officer: Minimum of National Certificate of the Nigerian Health Records Association or National Diploma in Medical Records. - Medical Laboratory Technician: WASC or SSCE plus three years training and registration with the Institute of Medical Laboratory Technology for Technician Cadre. Qualification Requirements - Professor: Must be a Reader with a PhD, 20 publications (16 in print), and evidence of supervision of PhD and Masters students. - Reader/Associate Professor: PhD with outstanding teaching experience and 15 publications in reputable journals. - Senior Lecturer: PhD with six years of teaching/research experience and 10 publications. - Lecturer I: PhD or equivalent with four years of teaching experience and two publications. - Lecturer II: PhD or Masters degree with two journal publications. - Assistant Lecturer: Good second class honours degree or Masters degree, with a first-class or second-class upper bachelor’s degree for medical colleges. Non-teaching positions have specific degree and experience requirements, including NYSC or exemption certificates where applicable.
