Creation of 93,731 Jobs Initiative: A Path to Economic Growth and Empowerment
In alignment with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritizes economic growth, job creation, and poverty alleviation, the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) is set to launch a major initiative aimed at addressing Nigeria’s unemployment crisis. This initiative, running from October to December 2024, is designed to create 93,731 jobs across the nation, with a strong focus on inclusivity and grassroots development.
The programme will offer 30 diverse skills acquisition courses to beneficiaries, providing them with the tools they need to secure sustainable employment or start their own businesses. By equipping participants with relevant, in-demand skills, the initiative aims to foster an environment conducive to wealth creation and self-reliance, ultimately contributing to the nation’s economic transformation.
To ensure maximum impact, the NDE will implement the programme at the Electoral Ward level, ensuring that even the most remote communities are reached. This localized approach not only promotes inclusivity but also allows for tailored solutions that address the unique needs of various regions.
Programme Timeline:
Start Date: October 14, 2024
End Date: December 31, 2024
Through this initiative, the NDE is helping to lay the foundation for a brighter future, one where Nigerians have access to the skills, opportunities, and resources necessary to thrive in today’s competitive job market.
