To be eligible for the 2025 King Fahd University Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
General Eligibility:
Educational Background: A four-year Bachelor’s (B.S.) degree in engineering or science from an accredited institution, with a major in the intended field of study, or evidence of a relevant background to enter the proposed field.
GPA Requirements:
For Scholarship Applicants: A minimum GPA of 3.00/4.00 or its equivalent.
For Non-Scholarship Applicants: A minimum GPA of 2.50/4.00 or its equivalent.
English Language Proficiency: Completion of the TOEFL with the following minimum scores:
PBT: 520
CBT: 190
IBT: 70
Letters of Recommendation: Two letters, ideally from faculty members who taught the applicant at the university level. These should be submitted through the online recommendation system.
Additional Departmental or University Requirements: Meeting any extra admission criteria set by the department or university.
For MS Programs in Business Administration:
GMAT: A minimum score of 450 on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT).
Letters of Recommendation: Two letters, preferably from professors who taught the applicant at the undergraduate level.
Mathematical Requirement: Completion of at least one college-level calculus course that covers differentiation and integration.
Computer Knowledge: Proof of basic computer skills through completion of a relevant course (e.g., data processing, programming, or information systems).
Work Experience: At least three years of full-time work experience. This requirement may be waived for graduate assistants, research assistants, or applicants with exceptional academic records.
For PhD Programs:
Letters of Recommendation: Two letters, ideally from faculty who taught the applicant at the graduate level.
Educational Background: A Master’s (M.S.) degree in engineering or science from a recognized institution, with graduate programs equivalent to those at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM). The degree should be in the proposed field of study or show a suitable background to enter the proposed field.
