Nigerian Army DSSC 29/2026 successful candidates announcement and reporting instructions for NASI Jaji Kaduna

The Nigerian Army has released an important public announcement for candidates who were successful in the Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) 29/2026 Selection Board.

According to the announcement, successful candidates are required to report for Officer Cadet Training at the Officer Cadet Training Wing, Nigerian Army School of Infantry (NASI), Jaji, Kaduna State.

All selected candidates must report on Friday, 27 March 2026 to commence their training. The Nigerian Army also confirmed that the full list of successful candidates is available online through the official recruitment portal.

Applicants who participated in the DSSC 29/2026 selection process are advised to check their names as soon as possible.

Items Candidates Must Bring to NASI Jaji

All candidates are required to report to the training school with the following items:

  • Writing materials
  • Original credentials including online printout showing passport photographs
  • Three pairs of plain white short sleeve round neck vests and royal-blue shorts (without stripes)
  • Two pairs of pure white canvas/trainers (rubber type not acceptable)
  • Two pairs each of maroon-red round neck vests and navy-blue tracksuits (without stripes)
  • Two white and one blue long sleeve shirts, a black tie and a black belt
  • Four pairs of white socks and two pairs of black socks
  • Two pairs of black and white trousers
  • One lounge suit (dark colour)
  • Two pairs of national dress or suit and casual wears
  • One rubber strapped wristwatch
  • One pair of black cover shoe
  • Swimming trunk
  • Two white bed sheets and pillow cases
  • One blanket (grey or army green colour)
  • Football boots
  • Pressing iron


Additional Items for Female Candidates

  • Female candidates are required to come with the following additional items:
  • One pair of black low heel cover shoe
  • Four lounge skirts (dark colour)
  • Four pairs of black or blue tight shorts
  • Two pairs of trouser suits.

Important Notice for Candidates

Serving military personnel must come along with release letters and passes from their commanders or commanding officers.

Successful candidates who fail to report on the specified date will automatically forfeit their training slot, and the opportunity will be given to candidates on the reserve list.

Reserve candidates are not required to report to NASI Jaji immediately, but they may be contacted if vacancies arise.

The Nigerian Army also stated that there will be no vacancy for reserve candidates after 20 April 2026.

Candidates are strongly advised to adhere strictly to the instructions and reporting date to avoid disqualification.
