This is to notify the general public that the Nigerian Army (NA) has officially released the list of successful candidates for the Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) Course 29/2026 Selection Board. If you applied for the specialized corps earlier this year, it is time to check your status and prepare for the physical screening exercise.
Shortlisted candidates are required to report to the Nigerian Army School of Infantry (NASI), Jaji, Kaduna State, by 9:00 AM on February 22, 2026.
Selection Board Schedule
The screening exercise will officially take place from February 23 to March 8, 2026.
Warning: Any candidate who fails to report to the venue in Jaji by 6:00 PM on February 22, 2026, will be automatically disqualified from the process.
Compulsory Items for the Selection Board
Candidates must arrive at the venue with the following items. Failure to provide any of these may lead to your removal from the screening:
A. Documentation & Photographs
Writing Materials: Pens, pencils, and notebooks.
Passport Photos: 4 recent colored passport photographs.
Full-Size Photos: 4 recent full-size colored photographs in a standing position (wearing a suit).
Note: On the back of each photo, you must write your Surname, First Name, Date of Birth, and (if applicable) Service Number/Unit.
Verification: Scratch cards for online confirmation of WAEC and/or NECO results.
B. Clothing & Personal Gear
Physical Training Wear: 3 plain white short-sleeve vests and 3 pairs of blue shorts.
Footwear: 1 pair of canvas shoes or trainers and 3 pairs of white socks.
Beddings: Blankets, bedspreads, mosquito nets, and pillowcases.
Toiletries: A bucket and basic personal hygiene items.
Cutlery: A set of cutlery, including a plate and drinking cup.
Mandatory Documents (Originals & Photocopies)
Ensure you have all original certificates and photocopies neatly organized in a file jacket:
Academic Certificates: Primary School Leaving Certificate to your highest Degree/HND.
NYSC Certificate: Discharge Certificate or a valid Exemption Certificate.
NPC Document: Birth Certificate (National Population Commission endorsed) or a valid Age Declaration.
Identification: Valid Certificate of State of Origin and your BVN Certificate (authenticated by your bank).
AHQ MS Form: The Coded Data Form sent to your email during the application.
Selection Board Rules and Conduct
Transportation: Candidates are responsible for their own travel to Kaduna. Private vehicles are not allowed within the venue.
Discipline: A high standard of discipline is expected. Any breach of rules or falsification of documents will result in immediate disqualification and potential hand-over to civil authorities.
Visitors: To ensure the integrity of the military exercise, visitors are strictly prohibited for the duration of the Selection Board.
